Bike Kill this Saturday
Fuck yes! This is my favorite long time bike event in the goddamn forever! Last year was amazing and topped off by a CHVNK flaming bike of death and the arresting of Paul. I'm not even thinking about how that can be topped, only how I'm going to keep the case of beer in my backpack cold.

Obama Bike by Geek House
Got an email from Marty Walsh @ GeekHouse earlier today about his collaborative project with Animal NY and Dan Funderburgh to raise monies for the Obama campaign. Marty et al, have built a bike themed around the Obama color scheme (say colorways and I'll get slappy with you) using the new sublimated powder coat thechnique that Marty showcased on the Bandana bike earlier in the year. Its pretty cool and I'm wondering all over the place if there is a way that I can use this new technology in conjunction with ELVS. The bike is on eBay now.

The exclusive, fixed gear masterpiece was hand-built and features original sublimated graphics on the frame and Velocity Deep V wheelset, including a remixed Obama chainring logo on the front. The velodrome-ready bike sports a 55cm Geekhouse Custom 'Rockcity' Frame track frame with 'Yo Marty' fork, a curved seat tube, and comes fully loaded with the following parts:

Snap Delivery Service
My good friend and compatriot Collin Miller has started a Brooklyn based delivery service named 'Snap Delivery Service'. Collin, Hugo and Alex have years of experience couriering throughout the five boroughs.
They are based out of Williamsburg with the goal of serving clientele in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. With a modest rate card they've got starter companies, artists, restaurants and others in mind.

In Manhattan: $8 base rates + $1 for zones

What am I working on?
Indeed, what is being worked on at Laek House?
- Winter hats: This is being worked out right now. I've sourced some neat wool/softshell materials for the front pieces of the hats. Its a breathable, warm and windproof while not being to thick.
There will be two versions, one with ear-flaps and one without. Both will have the softshell front.
- Hip Pouches: I've been working on one for a little while now and am on the second iteration. What I can tell you now, the bags will have an integrated U-lock holster (built around a Krpto Mini) a reflective element, a tab for a blinkie and a way to carry a pump externally. It will probably have two pockets as well but I'm working this out as I go.
For now, it will built out of vinyl coated truck tarp. Ideally, I'd like to dump all PVC products though and am open to suggestions.
